The eyes make this piece for me. They're the focal point for this and it plays out well. Very mood driven and it draws you right in. The black coloring in the middle of the piece is a nice contrast to the grey texture around it. The hair, the fabric, etc..

Two things make me question it or make me want more answers from it.
1. I think there could be a bit more contrast to the outlying areas. But this is minor.
2. The thing that struck me is the similarity to the 80's album cover art for a band called "Missing Persons" and their release of "Spring Session M" Here's the link:

Was this a reference for this piece? Not that its a bad thing, but when I saw it, I wasnt thinking "original idea" in my head. If its a coincidence, then bravo. <img src="e.deviantart.com/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)" /> All in all a striking work.
